At this stage you're scaling to the realm of culture. People will notice if you don't have a gmail account or send files from a platform other than google drive. They might suggest that your belief in freedom and privacy is unnecessary and ask why it matters.
Even if you truly had nothing to hide, there are other people, such as journalists and activists, who benefit when "regular" people deviate from digital norms.
Signing up for a new email can be relatively simple from a technical perspective, but it may take a long time to leave gmail. Especially if you have a lot of other connected services.
(Depending on your circumstances) slowness may be the most venerable pace versus impulsively deleting your whole google account for a thrill of completion. You can set up a new email account while you gradually wean off of gmail+.
Taking small steps will add up to a lot more in the future than feeling overwhelmed and doing nothing now (and forever)
